Puduchery and croissants!

We are now in Puduchery, resting (yes it is exhausting to travel!) and enjoying the seaside promenade, the croissants and baguettes and trying to learn about the Sri Aurobindo Society and its Ashram which dominates the city. http://www.sriaurobindosociety.org.in/
We'll tell you more once we have understood... in the mean time a few pictures of Puduchery and its French-side.

A street which could be in Marseille in France! Nice houses, trees, pavements (quite unusual in other indian towns).

The seaside promenade (again, clean and without garbage), very pleasant to walk along in the evening.
And yes, it was French...

Pondichery reminds me of Sherlock Holmes novels!

sherlock holmes meets the pink panther... it's very strange here - you walk from one street to another and it's "welcome back to India" !
